E-NDURO FAQ

Got a question ?

The answer may be here

When is E-NDURO open ?

We are closed Mondays and Tuesdays.  We do not offer training or riding sessions on Wednesdays unless you are part of an organised Group or Corporate booking. Training and Riding sessions for Individuals or small Groups are focussed into Thursdays, Fridays , Saturdays and Sundays.  Check the 'Sessions' section of this website to show active dates on the website.  You can call us during the hours of 9.30am until 5.30pm Wednesdays to Sundays with any queries or booking requests.  Emails and booking requests via the website can be sent 24/7 and we aim to respond within 24 hours.

What Age do you accommodate ?

We train from Age 10 years old and upwards though E-NDURO is primarily aimed at Adults.  We assume that Teenagers of around 14-15 years old and of a height of 5ft-6in tall shoudl be able to ride the KTM Freeride-E bikes.  If smaller or less able riders need a smaller bike, then they can use the OSET 24" bikes.

Why do I need to do the Training - I've been riding for years ?

For safety and insurance reasons, we have to assume that all visitors to E-NDURO are beginners - we can not take anyone at their word about how experienced or good a rider they are.  Road bike riders especially need to become familiar with Off-Road skills as the riding technique is very different.

Do I have to pay for any damage to the bike ?

We accept that the nature of off-road riding will cause accidental damage to the bikes.  However, if you have been advised to moderate your speed or correct your riding technique but you ignore that advice and crash the bike, then you will be required to pay for the resulting damage.

Is E-NDURO a MotoCross Track ?

NO. E-NDURO as the name suggests, is an Enduro Riding Experience but may make use of one of the Rogers Hill Raceway Moto-X tracks during the Basic and Advanced Training prior to riding on the E-NDURO course. Our track is designed to be easy to ride but still technically challenging as one's confidence and speed increases.  There are NO racing events at E-NDURO though we may occasionally run time-trials i.e timed laps.

Can I bring my own Petrol-Powered off-road motorcycle ?

NO.  E-NDURO is only for Electric Motorcycles.  However, if you wish to contact Rogers Hill Raceway, they would be able to advise when you can bring your Petrol bike for use on one of their tracks.

Can I bring my own electric off-road motorcycle ?

At this stage, E-NDURO is only for training and bike hire using our own electric motorcycles.

Do I need to be able to already ride a motorcycle ?

It would be an advantage – though not essential.  However, we do require that participants can ride a bicycle (without stabilisers !)

I'm booked on a training course or I've hired a bike and it starts to rain - can I cancel ?

No, unless it is extreme weather that would be dangerous, we teach, ride and hire bikes no matter what the weather is doing.  You should also dress appropriately for the weather conditions on the day (see below).  Riding off-road is about learning to mentally and physically deal with all types of riding conditions.

Do Participants need to sign a Disclaimer ?

Yes - you can see the general content of the disclaimer here.

What Riding Gear does E-SCAPE provide ?

As part of the training classes and bike hire, we provide the main safety equipment of Helmets, Boots, Gloves and Goggles.  We  request that you wear hard-wearing, loose-fitting clothes such as jeans and sweatshirt.  We also advise a fairly thick pair of socks (such as sports socks) to wear with the boots.  Please check what the weather forecast is for Postcode DT2 7HN and always anticipate the worst weather - so wear suitable clothing and bring a spare set in case you get wet or covered in mud !

Do you provide on-site showers ?

No, we do not provide any shower facilities.

Is there On-Site Parking ?

Yes, please make sure you park within the marked parking area to maximize the number of cars we can accommodate in our car park.

Can I bring Friends and Family to spectate ?

Spectators are not allowed to walk around the course or perimeter of the track as this is potentially dangerous and distracting for riders – visitors must stay in the briefing area.  NO PETS such as dogs can be brought onto the site for safety reasons.

What happens if there is an accident and I get injured ?

We do all we can to minimse the risk of injury though off-road motorcycling can be hazardous and accidents can happen.  Our Instructors are trained in First Aid so immediate assistance can be provided.  However, if further medical assistance is required, a paramedic can be called and advise if further treatment is necessary.
